Spanish born photographer Andre Martin has earned a reputation as one of Australia’s leading food photographers. His natural ability to capture colour and texture, paired with his experience in lighting and composition provide exceptional outcomes that are highly regarded in his industry and he has been formally recognised for these results.
Andre’s passion for photography began in his early teens when his unwavering vision for creating world class imagery spurred his successful career. Andre began his journey, aged 16, at Australian Consolidated Press gaining over ten years’ experience working with a wide variety of subject matter including fashion, food and interiors.
In the 1990’s Andre’s talent afforded him the opportunity to branch out into freelance photography where he continues to enjoy a successful career. He can now be found shooting out of his well-equipped studio in Artarmon on Sydney’s lower North Shore. The studio contains unique benefits such as drive in access, 2 commercial kitchens, shooting areas flooded with natural light and state of the art equipment.
Andre’s passion for expression through the lens is also reflected in his personal work. With his camera continually by his side, Andre has travelled extensively to capture life, culture, nature and humanity in its essence. Andre has a particular sensitivity for his subject matter that sets his work apart and he has been recognised for this, twice being selected to exhibit at the prestigious “Sydney Life’ Exhibition in Hyde Park, in Sydney’s CBD. Andre has also been awarded first place in the coveted Nikon International Competition.
